Fling into spring with Hayman’s Gin

With thoughts turning to Spring (yes!) we wanted to share with you some suggested serves that will take you from Spring into Summer..

Created by Hayman’s Gin, to complement it’s award-winning London Dry which is fresh, crisp and elegant with a lively citrus finish, these cocktails make the most of seasonal fruits and citrus as well as honey sourced close to the distillery.

The cocktails are a collection of twists on classic serves and easy to make.

Hayman’s Gin & Tonic – the quintessential taste of summer, perfectly refreshing and complemented by a fresh lemon twist and summer raspberries

  • Fill a highball glass or a balloon glass with large cubes of ice
  • Pour 50ml Hayman’s London Dry Gin over the ice
  • Top with premium quality tonic water
  • Garnish with a lemon twist and fresh raspberries

Lavender Lady – A variation of the 1920s sophisticated White Lady cocktail, made with locally sourced honey and garnished with fragrant lavender

  • Add cubed ice to a cocktail shaker with 50ml Hayman’s London Dry Gin, 20ml freshly squeezed lemon juice, 10ml of locally sourced honey or 20ml of honey water (combine equal parts of honey and hot water, stir until mixed 10ml Cointreau, one medium egg white and a dash of orange bitters
  • Give all of the ingredients a hard shake then strain into a cocktail glass
  • Garnish with a sprig of lavender

Floradora – Fresh raspberries and zingy ginger combine with Hayman’s London Dry Gin to make this timeless classic an easy summer sipper

  • Into a cocktail shaker add large cubes of ice, 50ml Hayman’s London Dry Gin, 20ml of freshly squeezed lime juice, 10ml of sugar syrup or Grenadine and 4-8 fresh raspberries
  • Shake & double strain through a tea strainer into a highball glass over large cubes of ice
  • Top with ginger ale
  • Garnish with a lime wheel and raspberries

Victorian Mojito – Gin’s take on a rum favourite, Hayman’s London Dry Gin is accompanied by fresh mint and lime juice to create a fresh, zesty drink

  • Fill a highball glass with cracked or crushed ice and a few fresh mint leaves.
  • Add 50ml Hayman’s London Dry, 25ml freshly squeezed lime juice, 20ml sugar syrup then use a spoon to vigorously mix the ingredients
  • Top with premium quality tonic water or soda water
  • Garnish with a mint sprig

Spring Spritz – A balance of rich and luxurious Pedro Ximénez Sherry with crisp London Dry Gin, made long with sparkling wine

  • Fill a wine glass with large cubes of ice
  • Pour 30ml of Hayman’s London Dry Gin over the ice
  • Add 30ml Pedro Ximénez Sherry or sweet Vermouth
  • Top with a sparkling wine of your choice
  • Garnish with a grapefruit wedge

Red Snapper No.2 – A Bloody Mary made with gin. The botanicals, particularly the juniper and spices, in the gin pack this punchy cocktail with flavour

  • Add cubed ice to a cocktail shaker with 35ml Hayman’s London Dry Gin,100ml chilled premium tomato juice, 5-10ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 6-8 dashes of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp fresh horseradish, a pinch of Maldon sea salt and cracked black pepper and Tabasco to taste
  • Gently shake or roll the ingredients over ice, then strain all of the ingredients into a highball glass
  • Garnish with cherry or baby plum tomatoes, a stick of celery and salt and pepper around the edge of the glass

Bee Collins – A twist on the Tom Collins, using the natural sweetness of honey and vanilla to create a delicious cocktail

  • Fill a highball glass with large cubes of ice
  • Pour 50ml Hayman’s London Dry over the ice with 25ml lemon juice, 10ml of locally sourced honey or 20ml honey water (combine equal parts of honey and hot water, stir until mixed) 5 drops of good quality vanilla essence
  • Top with cream soda or soda water

Garnish with a piece of honeycomb and lemon curl
