Love Drinks’s Brands at London Cocktail Week
Sep 22nd, 2017
London Cocktail Week (LCW), which runs from 5pm on Monday 2nd October until 6pm on Sunday 8th October, is most certainly on the horizon, so we thought it would be the perfect time to let you know which of our brands are getting involved and what they’ll be up to. Read on for the details!
First up, Alexander Hauck, the co-founder of The Bitter Truth Range of Bitters and Liqueurs, will be over in the UK for a whistle stop tour, including paying a visit to the team and customers of Penny Royal in Cardiff, but first up he’ll be teaming up with Funkin at the LCW cocktail village in Old Spitalfields Market on Monday 2nd October. Talk about dream team!
From 6.30pm until 7.30pm, Alex will be taking over the bar with the Funkin guys and girls to create all manner of delectable drinks and we’re pretty sure that the Tiki-inspired, Kelapa Swizzle will be available to sip, savour and enjoy.
Australia and England join forces with Four Pillars Gin teaming up with Portobello Road Gin to host GinTonica, a bar paying homage to the gin & tonic at LCW cocktail village in Spitalfields. The two gins maybe in the same category but they bring different flavours to the gin party, so Joe Worthington, the Four Pillars Trade Relations Manager, Paul Gillan, the National Portobello Brand Ambassador and the imitable Jake Burger, have created a six-strong menu of gin and tonic plus a serve that celebrates the popular Spanish style, blurring the line between the gin and tonic and the cocktail! It has to been seen to be believed.
Next up is the dark, delicious and caffeinated Mr Black Cold Press Coffee Liqueur. Alix Nardella, the Mr Black Brand Ambassador, will be offering three coffee-based cocktails in the Spitalfields space; Espresso Martini (of course), a Milk Punch and the 911 – a cocktail especially made for New York’s finest and to make it even more sumptuous, each cocktail will be paired with a donut. Yes, you read that right!
Heading out of the cocktail village, Thursday 5th October sees Mr Black get together with the Brooklyn Brewery at Peony at Opium in Chinatown where a bespoke cocktail menu will be available. Cocktails made with Mr Black and Brooklyn’s special edition stout, Black Ops (see what they did there?) will be available from 7pm.
Last, but by no means least, Lanique Rose Spirit Liqueur has partnered with Bourne and Hollingsworth in Charlotte Street to offer a Lanique cocktail over the course of LCW. Simply show your digital pass, hand over £6 and you’re away.
In addition to the cocktail, Wednesday 4th October, Jim Wrigley from B&H and Emma Sprackling, the brand ambassador for Lanique, will be hosting a rose-tinted party. More exciting stuff is being planned as we type, so make sure you pop your head in – we’re sure everything will be coming up roses!
See you there?
