Finance Manager
Based in Head Office – Clapham Common
Job Type: Full Time Maternity Cover (until September 2019)
Hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE

We are currently seeking a talented Finance Manager to join us for a period of 12 – 15 months to cover maternity leave.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of the management team and will be responsible for managing all financial operations within Love Drinks.

Day to day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Duties:

  • Production of the monthly and quarterly management accounts pack and presentation to the leadership team
  • Manage the month end process
  • Liaising with external accountants to prepare and complete year end accounts
  • Management of cash-flow & forecasts, including foreign exchange
  • Monthly & weekly sales analysis reports
  • Supporting the CEO and Head of Sales & Marketing
  • Managing & supporting 3 members of staff (Finance & Operations)
  • Oversee monthly bank reconciliations & reporting to the bank
  • Oversee quarterly VAT returns
  • Oversee Sales Ledger and credit control
  • Oversee Purchase ledger and payment runs
  • Oversee stock management
  • Maintain/ improve debtor, creditor and stock days
  • Oversee Advertising & Promotion invoicing
  • Posting of journals
  • Preparation of the annual budget, planning and forecasting
  • Productions of ad-hoc reports
  • Maintaining price lists & managing price changes
  • Managing payroll & HR, including pension scheme, perks, contracts, HMRC
  • Manage IT requirements of the business, coordinating with external IT provider
  • Manage Insurance contracts and renewals
  • Work within the prescribed process and procedures for GDPR compliance
  • Maintain/ improve debtor and creditor days
  • Challenge and improve procedures/ systems

About You

  • MUST have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Finance Manager in an SME
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Advanced Excel skills (inc. pivot tables & v-lookups)
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Brilliant attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive and challenging attitude
  • A logical problem solver with a calm manner, bags of common sense and a flexible approach
  • MUST be happy sharing an office with Frank the French bulldog!
