Breakfast – known to be the most important meal of the day. There is a plethora of choices, from sweet to savoury, but which of these are the healthier of the bunch?
Start your mornings off right with this list of breakfasts to help you tackle the day minus all the sugars that come with most breakfast cereals:
Eggs – Eggs are a great source of protein and increase feelings of fullness. Also, for those of you who are on-the-go hard boiled eggs make for a great portable breakfast.
Greek Yogurt – A great way to change up a breakfast that is not eggs, cereal or toast. It has probiotics and the more concentrated protein in Greek Yogurt has been shown to reduce hunger.
Berries – Are you a bit of a sweet tooth when it comes to breakfast? Berries are a great way to satisfy those sweet cravings, plus they have tons of antioxidants and have low glycemic loads that won’t spike blood sugar and insulin level.
Oatmeal – Aiding to lower cholesterol, oatmeal is a great option to fuel your day. If you are more rushed in the mornings, overnight oats are a fantastic solution to this and what’s even better is that you can top these off with some antioxidant filled berries!
